Matt + Kristine {Wedding} // Ulster County Wedding Photographer

On this throwback Thursday, I’m throwing it back to this past summers wedding. Matt and Kristine were married on a beautiful September day. What I loved most about the day, was that they were our first couple to utilize Lippincott Manor’s “First Look” location on the property. It was gorgeous!

Venue: Lippincott Manor // DJ: Stylez Entertainment // Cake: Eat This Bakery

I thought it was so sweet that the bride and groom exchanged gifts during their getting ready portion of the day.

Here’s another angle of their first look!

I still have some availability for 2018 and am currently booking 2019!

Tyler + Dakota {Wedding} // Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

I always have a sweet spot for high school sweethearts (especially since I married mine). And what makes this couple even cooler, is that they too graduated from the same exact high school that my husband and I went to.

Tyler and Dakota got married on a beautiful summer day at Winding Hills Golf Club in Montgomery, NY. They had the lovely Vargas Brothers of Vargas Productions as their DJ Company. I especially adored their centerpieces and colors of the day.

I am still booking 2018 weddings and have availability for 2019!

Matthew + Micaran {Wedding} // Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

One amazing and romantic love story, two insanely good looking people, and two photographers who had the honor of capturing a beautiful fall wedding. I am super excited to begin sharing some of my weddings from this past wedding season. We are going to start with Matt + Micaran.

They were married by a great officiant friend of mine, Rich Rodriguez of Tristate Weddings at the beautiful Lippincott Manor in Wallkill, NY.

I love First Looks!!

And I love the other angle captured by my second shooter.

Does life ever get so busy for you? When I started the 2017 wedding season, I did not anticipate how busy Rachel and I would be. We have so much to catch you up on. For example, Rachel is expecting her first baby in January. And I got to experience life of working two jobs while juggling motherhood. As we wrap up the year, we are going to catch you up on some of our busyness.

First up, lets take a look at a beautiful’s couple wedding that kick started our wedding season! You may recall their engagement session that we did in New York City!

These three photos gets me a little teary eyed. I love capturing the grooms expression of his bride walking down the aisle.

The reception hall was GORGEOUS!!!!! The View on the Hudson did not disappoint!

I totally have to give a mini shout out to this beautiful couple who have continuously recommended me to their friends and family! Rachel and I truly appreciate it!

We still have openings for 2018 and are also booking for 2019 so tell a friend!!!

Jon + Lindsay {Wedding} // Thayer Hotel Wedding

I have a whole new respect for long distance relationships. In fact, I’m getting more and more military couples with the same story. Most of the wedding planning from this couple was done from afar. Military couples know best that true love can stand the test of distance and time.

Jon and Lindsay truly personified what love is and Rachel and I had the honor of having front row seats to witness it. They got married at the Thayer Hotel, located at West Point, during the winter season. During their first look, they exchanged beautifully written letters. Alone. Just the two of them. It was truly the sweetest moment. Enjoy this peek into their wedding day!

I still have a date or two open for any 2017 weddings and 2018 is quickly booking!

Jadner + Adrienne {Wedding} | Hudson Valley, NY Wedding Photographer

From the moment we met, I knew that Jadner and Adrienne would be a blast to work for! And once you see their photos you will be able to feel the love that these two have for each other. They chose a beautiful country setting for their wedding day! The Tuthill House in Gardiner, NY offers a rustic but refined place to get married! The ladies got ready at an onsite beautiful home, while the guys got ready in another building right above their beautiful restaurant.

Enjoy this small glimpse into their wedding day!

Check out this spread!!!!!

How many can say that they’ve had their PHOTOGRAPHER start a soul train line??!!! Yup! I did it and I got sooo many great shots!!!

Thank you so much Jadner and Adrienne for entrusting Rachel and myself to capture these life lasting memories!!!!

If you’re getting married, I’d love to take you out for some coffee and learn more about your big day!!!!

Will + Emily {Wedding} | Hudson Valley Wedding Photographer

Hello my friends!!! It’s time to resurrect this blog and share all that we’ve been up to! You’ll be hearing more from my special little newlywed friend (my Rachel) as well as displaying some of the beautiful weddings that we’ve had the opportunity to photograph!!! First up – Will & Emily!!

Will and Emily got married in one of the most adorable little church in Middlehope! The rain didn’t ruin their day as we moved over to Lippincott Manor. Once we arrived, we were able to sneak outside to take advantage of the beautiful grounds there!

These next couple of photos are so dear to my heart! Everyone knows that I love me a “First Look” but I especially love a first look with dad!

Off to this gorgeous rustic venue…

I heart these two so much!!!

This is the first of many wonderful weddings and couples that we’ve had the opportunity to work with! I cannot wait to show you all of them! I can’t wait to continue our blog series that Rachel and I came up with, “Confessions Of A Future Bride” turned “Confessions Of A Future Newlywed!” 😉 And most of all I can’t wait to share the life of two fun, wacky, photographer friends who love life!

“Confessions Of A Future Bride” | Post 22

Today’s post is about the beauty of your bouquet and flowers!!!!

“Flowers, flowers, flowers… When I began talking to Art about flowers, of course he could care less. He just doesn’t understand how important flowers are to a wedding! Flowers provide the prettiest little details from the bouquets and boutonnieres to ceremony decorations and centerpieces.
So, first let’s talk about my vision.. I can honestly say that I do not know a single thing about flowers.. All I know is that they look pretty 🙂 I don’t know types of flowers.. So I simply typed into Pinterest “yellow and white flowers” and looked for something that I liked 🙂 I quickly noticed the three types of flowers really stood out to me.. Baby’s Breath, Daisies and Billy Balls. A combination of the three of them will be the majority of my flowers, but I wanted my bouquet to be a little bit different. When I saw the pin of the bride’s bouquet, I absolutely fell in love! {After speaking to my wonderful florist} I discovered the other flowers in the bouquet are roses, sweetheart roses, alstromeria and hydrangea.

Now that I knew just about what I wanted… The next step was finding a florist. I shopped around and looked at a few, but I felt what they were offering for the price was just a little too steep for me. Then I stumbled upon {Erica and I had actually worked a previous wedding with} Vicki who owns Deja Vu Events and Floral Design. First off, I absolutely loved Vicki as soon as I met her {I think she is just as crazy as I am 🙂 } Vicki is so attentive and truly cares about how beautiful your wedding day is.. And I know this first hand because I have seen her at the wedding that we had worked 🙂 I would recommend Deja Vu to anyone getting married.. Super affordable and super awesome florist 🙂 Vicki, I can’t wait to see how awesome everything turns out!!”

“Confessions Of A Future Bride” | Post 15

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!! How was everyone’s holiday??! I hope well. We continue this blog series with a post that I adore!

Rachel’s engagement session.

It was an honor photographing my sister-in-law’s engagement session. Truly a day that I will never forget. In this post, I [Erica] will give some tips or suggestions to brides out there on how to make the most of your engagement session.

Why do an engagement session?? I like to think of the engagement session as a practice run of what to expect before the big day! It’s a day where both you and your significant other, as well as the photographer, get to see how you all work together. If I had a dollar for every time a couple has mentioned that they don’t photograph well, or that my boyfriend is silly and doesn’t know how to take nice picture, etc., I would be rich! My couples get to see how I direct them in order to get those fun loving pictures that I capture. Another reason why you should do an engagement session is that it’s an opportunity to get pictures as a couple.

Location: The perfect location is actually the location where you both would go out on a Saturday afternoon or night. It should be a place representing what you like to do. Don’t worry about picking out the most scenic location because I can make a parking garage look spectacular. I have photographed in couples homes because they wanted to celebrate buying their first home. I’ve photographed at a park playing basketball since my couple loved basketball. I’ve even photographed at a mall. I always say, keep it true to you!

Wardrobe: Wear comfortable clothes that you like and make you feel good. Where clothes with complimentary colors. One should be in a pattern while the other can wear a bright color. Accessorize and don’t forget to paint your nails. And guys should wear pants with pockets.

Engagement sessions are a lot of fun! You can expect to laugh a lot with me if I’m photographing your engagement session. You can expect that at some point I’m going to do a happy dance! You can expect me acting out what I would like for you to do with my assistant Rachel! That’s always fun to see.

Charlie + Trisha {Couples} // Hudson Valley, NY Couples and Lifestyle Photographer

Happy Hump Day!!!!! This evening on my blog I’m featuring a lifestyle/couple session from two good friends of mine. The reason why I’m not calling it an engagement session is because they’ve been actually married for over 5 years. These two are high school sweethearts and thought it would be a great idea to have updated pictures of them. I was super excited!!! These were taken at Lawrence Farm Orchards. Enjoy and send these two some love by commenting below!!!
