Hello friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve contributed to the circle. I’ve been away having a baby. lol I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, who goes by the name of Judah, 11 weeks ago. It has been the most overwhelming, difficult, joyful, tiring, busiest, exhilirating experience of my life.
When this month’s theme came out the only thing that came to mind was the deafening noise that comes from my Judah. He can get loud faster than a cheetah catch his prey. It’s been hard to pulling out my big girl camera but I have taken photos through cell. I’ve captured one of his cry fests on my cell phone.
Luckily his crying fits are not as numerous as his beautiful smiles!

I cannot lie – this was a pretty difficult theme for this month’s Creativity Project. I don’t even know if my interpretation is spot on but I tried. lol Since I’m in my final weeks of pregnancy, I haven’t been able to take out my camera as much as I want to so I decided to search my archives.
Please continue the circle to the lovely Singwa Lim to see her interpretation of this month’s theme! We also would love to see your interpretation so make sure to post the Creativity Project’s Facebook Page.
It’s a new year for us at The Creativity Project and I’m so excited about the upcoming themes for this year. This month’s theme is “Red” and I decided to go back into my archives. When I thought of “Red” I immediately thought back to a fun day with three little boys having fun on a “red” wagon.
“Some days we skip along, pulling our wagons with great confidence-
So full of energy that the load seems light.
Some days the load seems heavy and we need someone to help us pull our wagons over the bumps in the road.
Some days we are just tired.
We sit in our wagons and let someone else pull us along for a while.
And some days it’s kind of nice to share our little red wagons with a friend.
As you think about yesterday, and make plays for tomorrow,
keep in mind that there will be times when you can help pull someone’s little red wagon for a while.
After all, helping to pull each other’s little red wagons is what makes it possible to face the challenges the day brings.” – Dr. Jean

I’ve been questioning what would be the best way to publicize this special announcement on my blog and photography page and I figured out that my favorite Photography Circle would be the best way.
This month’s theme at The Creativity Project is Family and I’m happy to announce that after 8 years of marriage, I’m starting a family of my own!!!
Guess what – it’s a boy!! Being a photographer, I always said that I would like to document as much as I can of my pregnancy if and when I got pregnant. I did announcement photos and I was really looking forward to gender reveal photos. The original plan was to put balloons in a box at a Christmas tree farm but last Saturday it was pouring. Rachel, my assistant, quickly came up with a “Plan B” to use glitter and I absolutely love the way it came out. She also took these photos.

Fun with Feet!
This past summer I watched one of my best friends daughter play soccer for the first time. It was so adorable to see these little itty children running around playing [not so great] soccer. Hahaha I especially remember two kids just wanting to talk to each other the whole game. It was sooooooooo cute!
When I thought about this month’s theme, I immediately was brought back to this day.

Had to dig deep into the archives for this one! Although we are in summer, I love this fall color through my windshield.

When I was a little girl, some of my favorite stories that were read to me were fairytales. You know – the ones that had a princess who lived in a castle…yada yada yada. It was always fun to imagine myself ‘once upon a time, in a faraway land living in a castle’ but then I grew up and reality hit. Hahaha. But castles are real and I recently got to spend the night in one!
This month’s theme at The Creativity Project is “Storytelling.” I’d like to share with your my true story of a night spent at a Castle for my birthday!
Sitting on 100 acres in the middle of New Jersey’s Botanical Gardens is The Castle at Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ. My husband was so sweet to have thought of such a special gift for me.
This castle has been turned into a bed and breakfast. We only stayed one night but I was so refreshed and renewed the next day when we woke up. It is so relaxing to just sit out and read a book in the middle of fields. I would definitely suggest this cute getaway to anyone who’s interested.
I got to live a childhood dream with my prince charming.
Please follow the circle to Dan Beeler at dtbphotography to see his interpretation of “Storytelling.”
We at The Creativity Project want to see your interpretation as well! Please share your storytelling photos at our Facebook page.
March is here and it’s time for a new theme at The Creativity Project blog circle. “Fur Babies.” Since I rent, I am not allowed to have any pets. So what does one do when you have an assignment to photograph fur babies and you don’t have any of your own?? You call up your closest friends and family and ask if you can photograph their pets. And that’s what I did. I spoke to my friend Margaret and asked if I could photograph her cats. This was a long time coming since I had intentions of practicing pet photography with her cats so I’m glad this theme came along.
Margaret has the most beautiful cats that I’ve ever seen. They each have their own amazing story. Although most did some hiding, one stuck out immediately. Her name is Sundae and like many females she loved the camera and the attention.
Here is Sundae’s story, written by her momma:
“My brother in law and his girlfriend found her as a stray a few days before Hurricane Sandy was supposed to hit. She would sit outside their house, looking in the kitchen window at their 2 cats, and she would try to jump into my brother in law’s car every time he opened the doors. They called us and asked if we would take her in just until the Hurricane passed. Of course we did. The plan was to take her in, have her scanned for a microchip in case she was someone’s lost pet, have her spayed if needed & then try to find her a home. She wasn’t microchipped or spayed, so we had her spayed right away. She also had fleas and parasites, so all evidence pointed to her being a stray. Nobody answered the ads we posted about her, which was good, because it was pretty much love at first sight between us all and we knew she was never leaving. As you learned today, she’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!! I’m so happy she was the perfect model for you.”
Please head on over to Becky at Life with Kaishon to see her take on this month’s theme.
We also want to see your Fur Babies so please post to our Facebook page.
Love and light can’t come any sooner. I’m so tired of the cold and long dark hours. I dug back into my archives for these bright photos! Doesn’t their love shine forth like the bright sun behind them??
Please continue around the circle to Stephanie over at Creative Heart by Stephanie to see her interpretation of this month’s theme.
We also would love to see how you [the viewers/readers] interpret this month’s theme. Please head over the Creativity Project’s Facebook Page and post your “Love and Light” photos!
It’s that time again! Time to showcase creativity in The Creativity Project!!! This month’s theme is “Fresh.” If you live in New York or the Northeast, you would know that we just recently experienced a blizzard. There are many things that come to mind when you think of the word fresh – waterfalls, fruit or veggies. But why not take pictures of the Fresh Snow. So my husband and I went out in the 5 degree weather for some freshness.
Follow the circle to Amanda at Moon in a Cup.
Would you like to join in on the fun??!! We want to see your interpretation of Fresh this month. Please post them over at our Facebook page.
