Hello friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve contributed to the circle. I’ve been away having a baby. lol I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, who goes by the name of Judah, 11 weeks ago. It has been the most overwhelming, difficult, joyful, tiring, busiest, exhilirating experience of my life.
When this month’s theme came out the only thing that came to mind was the deafening noise that comes from my Judah. He can get loud faster than a cheetah catch his prey. It’s been hard to pulling out my big girl camera but I have taken photos through cell. I’ve captured one of his cry fests on my cell phone.
Luckily his crying fits are not as numerous as his beautiful smiles!
The Creativity Project: A blog circle where a group of awesome photographers link up monthly taking on a new theme!!!
I am so happy to be a part of this–to be pushed out of my comfort zone in the name of creativity! This month’s theme is”Faceless Portraits.” Usually when you think of portraits, a face/faces comes to mind. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s fun to think outside of the box and do the complete opposite. Here’s my interpretation of it.
Want to join in on the fun??? Post your “Faceless Portraits” to our Facebook Page.

I have been wanting to do this family’s session for the longest time now–probably since I decided that I wanted to get into photography. The reason for that is (a) I love this family. The mother and matriarch of the family is one of my closest friends and (b) They are just beautiful looking family.
So when prom season came around, the mom decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to capture both the prom night and memory of a beautiful close family. Everyone knows that prom day/night is a special event in and of itself. And for this family, it’s a joyous yet hard time, I would think, since this is the last prom that this mom will ever get to experience. Her last born baby girl is graduating High School. This made the session even more meaningful to me. I wanted to provide beautiful photos of a beautiful girl all dressed up alongside her handsome brothers and beautiful mom.
Here is the beautiful prom queen, herself. (Well I’m not actually sure if she was crowned prom queen but she is in my book)
Here she is with her brothers!!!
Here are a couple with one of the brothers and long time girlfriend. I love this grin that he’s giving her!!
Here are a couple of silly photos!!
There is no other love than a mothers love of her boys!! I can’t wait until I have boys of my own.
And lastly, a nice group shot of the “L” family. I love you all! Denise–you have done an amazing job!! You should be proud!!!
When you need somebody to practice shooting with, why not turn to your husband?
Fact: I met my husband in the 10th grade on the school bus.
Fact: I wasn’t attracted to him at first but he made my heart melt a year later.
Fact: I feel like he knows everything there is to know about sports.
Fact: He’s the clumsiest person I know.
But on a serious note, “David Freitas is totally boss. He is the cheese to my macaroni.” -Juno
This month’s theme for the I Heart Faces Photo Challenge is “Play”. I know you’ve seen this little girl throughout my blog but her Mother is one of my best friends. We go to church together and she lives right around the corner from where I work. On most days, you can find me there during my lunch hour from work. She feeds me well!
Any who, her daughter is very photogenic. This picture depicts a girls love of Minnie Mouse; playing at a party store in preparation of her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party.
Head on over to I Heart Faces to see everyone else’s submission.
Whenever I see these boys, I feel like they just walked out of a Gap magazine! 😉
They are handsome and very adorable. This past Sunday, my pastors wife asked if I could take a few photos of her boys and nephew so that she could give some updated photos to her grandmother. Luckily, I had my camera. As for a location–I happen to think that the brick beside the plaza where my church is looks pretty cool.
This was literally this quickest photo shoot that I’ve ever had. 3 minutes tops with each boy since it was right after church and everyone is normally ready for lunch by then. I love these boys. They all have such a big heart.
And Lastly, The Fun Cousin
I still have to photograph their daughter. She will be a natural in front of the camera!
As we head into the heart of spring, I can see why this months photo challenge is “Wind.” Today we had gorgeous weather and I hope it’s hear to stay. Going back through my photos, this image caught my attention. This was one of my photos from my first ever photo session! I think she’s soo adorable and I love her very much!

I cannot wait until the day that I have my very own baby shower! And when I do, I know who to call–Oneida-Michelle Cruz. They know how to make things fabulous. The creativity behind the minds of these three women are crazy. Make sure to head on over to their Facebook page and show them some love by clicking that LIKE button!!
There was a craft to create your own bib for the new baby!
Now for a few maternity pics of the beautiful mom!
