Happy Hump Day and #weddingwednesday!! Rachel’s wedding is approximately 29 days away! Rachel says she has soo much to do still but after looking at our posts, I can assure her that she’s basically got everything done!! 😉 This week is all about table numbers!

“I got home from work today {Tuesday.. I write these the night before you see them 🙂 } and I decided to go to Michael’s.. So, I grabbed my little sister, Rebekah, and off we went. I went in looking for table numbers and a card box {This post is about the table numbers, we will get to the card box at a later date}

I had an inspiration for the table numbers.. I wanted wooden numbers covered in silver glitter. But let me tell you.. It was a lot harder to find wood numbers than I thought it would be! There are wood letters everywhere, but no numbers! I went to both Michael’s and A.C. Moore and only found one full set of wood numbers..So I just went with them, they were a little bit smaller than I would have liked but like I said I just went with them 🙂
So at 9:00 at night, I got to my parent’s house and decided to start the table numbers.. Rebekah and I had decided to go with the spray glue. I am not too sure if this was a good idea or not still 🙂 It only took about 25 minutes to get them all glittered up…….. BUT…….. It took probably about the same amount of time to get the glue/glitter mixture off of my fingers as it did to get it on the numbers 🙂

I do really like how they came out; however, they most definitely need a second coat. For now they are at my parent’s house still drying. When applying the second coat, I will wear gloves for sure {Especially since I an still trying to peel the glue off my hands as I am typing}.”

“I had checked in a few weeks back with some hair styles that I was tinkering with for the wedding day.. They were both pretty similar 🙂 Buttttt we are following up because I had my hair and makeup trial!
Lucky for me.. My cousin/bridesmaid, Amy, used the same hair and makeup artists for her wedding.. So I knew before even going into the trial that it was going to be great! These two awesome girls, Maryssa from Hair by Maryssa Babicz (IM NOT SURE IF THIS IS ABLE TO BE TAGGED? SHE HAS A FACEBOOK PAGE BY THIS NAME) and her good friend Melissa for makeup, lived up to my expectations.. Plus a million times more!
I had my back to the mirror and wasn’t able to see myself until the product was completely finished.. And I was floored when my chair turned around.. Floored.. I think my exact words were, “Is that even me?!” 🙂 I have never been so dolled up in my life!
Maryssa and Melissa were so professional and amazing in their work! I would highly, highly, highly recommend them to anyone.. After sending the pictures from my trial to my bridesmaids, I think a few of them were swayed who were unsure if they were going to get their makeup done 🙂
I obviously can’t give away the entire look 😉 So here are a few sneak peeks into my hair and makeup…”

Have you been following along??? Thank you so much to our readers! I can’t believe that Rachel’s wedding is next month!!! It’s been so fun putting this blog series together with her. Tell us – what is your favorite post so far?????!!!

“Of course when choosing an invitation, Pinterest was my best friend 🙂  I had a hard time choosing a design that I liked.. As many of you know, my colors are navy and yellow.. But when looking at navy and yellow invitations on Pinterest, I really wasn’t a huge fan of any..
I had chosen a simple white invitation with navy blue writing, but my bridesmaid/cousin, Amy, vetoed that idea. She said it was too simple and it needed something more..
At that point I decided to throw out the color scheme and do whatever the heck I liked.. I picked out a few inspiration invitations and showed them to Arthur and he took it and went with it!

My fantastic fiancé created the invites, RSVP and an information card. And of course I loved them! Something a little bit different.. Arthur and I decided that we do not want to have children at the wedding. I found an awesome way to word this on the invites.. “In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy the evening off!” I couldn’t think of a better way to word this!
Here’s a sneak peek of my wedding invitations :)”

“Confessions Of A Future Bride” | Post 31

We continue our wedding blog series with a post about wedding bands…

“In all honesty.. I almost forgot about getting the wedding bands 🙂 This was actually something that Arthur took the lead on. It was such a small thing, but I was so glad that Arthur set up a time for us to go check out some bands with our great friend Rachel {Another Rachel.. Not me obviously 🙂 }who works at Kay Jewelers. It was nice to have one tiny thing that was not put on my plate.

IMG_0315

So off to Kays we went! Let me tell you.. Choosing a wedding band was a lot harder than I thought it would be! When I was walking into the store, I had a style in mind. I was thinking that I wanted a regular band with small diamonds in it.. But after trying some on with my engagement ring, I couldn’t make up my mind! So Rachel gave me a great piece of advice.. She told me to find a band that I liked on it’s own, then to try it on with my engagement ring. And I ended up with a ring that I did not expect to be walking out with!

IMG_0317 IMG_0318

I love, love, love my choice. I was just saying to Arthur the other day that I could not wait until we actually had the rings.. And he says to me “Rach, you know you can’t wear it until the wedding, right?” 🙂 I’m just super excited!!

IMG_0319

And I am a terrible fiancé.. I did not even take a picture of Art’s ring 😦 I didn’t even realize until I had sent a picture of my band to my mom and she said send me one of Art’s.. Oops 🙂 {So I went on the Kay Jeweler’s website and took a screen shot of it} When Art was trying on rings, it looked so weird to see a ring on his finger! I told Rachel to give him a size smaller, because that thing is never coming off :)”
